Day 1

Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park & Glencoe

Day 1 Today is a fabulous introduction to the Scottish landscape.  Picking-up in Glasgow we head north to explore the mountains, lochs and rivers of the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. We’ll stop at the village of Luss before taking in the full length of the loch and the Falls of Falloch to the north. Later, we travel over unspoilt Rannoch Moor and take time to admire and photograph the mountains of Glencoe before heading for the highland town of Fort William for the evening.

Day 2

Glen Nevis, Castle Stalker & Oban

Day 2 After breakfast we head for Glen Nevis and take a drive out to the Lower Falls below our highest mountain, Ben Nevis. Later, we tour south along Loch Linnhe with the option of an easy 1hr walk that crosses the tidal marshes for a good viewpoint of Castle Stalker. This afternoon we take in the seaside town of Oban sitting in a perfect crescent occupying the hills surrounding Oban Bay. The most outstanding views can be seen from McCaig’s Tower. Overnight Oban.

Day 3

Kilmartin Glen & Inveraray

Day 3 This morning we travel through to Kilmartin, often referred to as the birthplace of Scotland. Kilmartin Glen is rich with prehistoric remains and a 2hr walk takes in the most impressive cairns and standing stones. Reaching Inveraray, we can enjoy lunch and visit the historic castle here, home to the Duke & Duchess of Argyll. Our final leg of the journey takes us over the Argyll mountains with great views on our way back to Glasgow.
